Meaning and origin
Moid flips foid around. Foid comes from femoid, and moid is read as male plus humanoid. It started in online spaces where women vented about men, as a direct answer to incel slang, and it kept the same idea of describing someone as not quite a person.
How it's used now
In early 2026 moid spread on TikTok and X, including a run of videos of people lip-syncing "moid moid moid." Most of that use is ironic, the same way foid now turns up inside meme words like foidslop. Said to an actual person, it's still an insult.
If you're looking for the male-coded version of foidslop, nobody really says moidslop. The meme chart that foidslop came from used guychow and guyslop instead, and some people say broslop.
What moid means on TikTok
On TikTok, moid mostly shows up in videos where women complain about men, usually about a date, a boyfriend or a guy in the comments. It works like "men" with an eye roll attached. A lot of the people using it picked it up from those videos and have never been anywhere near the forums where foid started.
It also gets paired with chud, another insult that spread out of the same corners of the internet, usually aimed at a sour, extremely online guy. Know Your Meme logs "an foid an chud" as part of the foid meme.
