Guychow Meaning

guychow /ˈɡaɪ.tʃaʊ/ noun, slang

Guychow is meme slang for a quick, meat-centered meal a man makes for himself, like a ribeye or a pan of ground beef. It comes from a meme chart that set it against foidslop, the carb-and-vegetable plate the same chart pinned on women.

Where it came from

Guychow comes from a meme chart titled "Know the difference: Guychow vs Foidslop," which was saved to Know Your Meme's goyslop gallery on October 17, 2024. It's laid out like a dictionary page. Guychow is "meat centered dishes that are quick and easy to prepare," where the vegetables are only there to help the meat. Foidslop is a "flavorless amalgamation of carbs and vegetables." The examples are a ribeye steak for guychow and pasta salad for foidslop.

A longer version of the chart added wifeslop and guyslop, and described guychow as a single man's meal, made for himself, that often starts with ground beef.

How people use it

Most of the time guychow is the punchline to a girl dinner joke. People post a plate of steak and rice, or a pound of ground beef eaten straight from the pan, and call it guychow. "Guychow recipes" gets searched too, mostly by people who want an easy high-protein dinner and like the name.

The full four-way chart is on foidslop vs guychow.
