Is Labubu foidslop?
A small furry monster toy with a lot of teeth, sold in blind boxes and clipped to expensive handbags.

Labubu is a little furry creature with a toothy grin, made by the toy company Pop Mart and sold in blind boxes, so you don't know which one you'll get. In 2025 people started clipping them to luxury bags, and some adults now own dozens. Counterfeits got common enough that people started calling them Lafufus.
We're calling it contested. Blind boxes and resale prices look a lot like sneaker culture, which belongs much more to the broslop side, and the flipping scene doesn't care who buys them.
Labubu was created by Kasing Lung, an artist born in Hong Kong, as part of a picture book series called The Monsters. Pop Mart started selling Labubu figures in 2019. The big jump came in 2024, after Lisa from Blackpink posted with hers, and by 2025 they were selling out across Asia, Europe and the US, with long lines at Pop Mart stores.
Pop Mart's sales grew sharply on the back of it, and rare versions resold for many times their original price. The plush keychain versions are the ones people clip to bags. Fans enjoy the blind boxes for the surprise, and critics say the same thing works a lot like gambling, especially for younger buyers who keep opening boxes to get a 'secret' figure.
