Foidslop games

Games are where foidslop arguments get the most heated, because the games people call foidslop are some of the best-selling games ever made. The Sims has sold to tens of millions of players since 2000. Stardew Valley was made by one person and is still selling a decade later. Dress to Impress is a Roblox game where you get a theme, a few minutes and a closet.

What they have in common is that nobody loses. You decorate, farm, date, dress up, and the challenge is whatever you decide it is. That's what gets them called foidslop, usually by people whose favorite game involves a scoreboard. It's also why the votes on these come out closer than most. Plenty of men have lost a whole winter to Stardew.

There's a gender-neutral cousin of the word, too. Friendslop, coined in 2025, is the term for cheap, chaotic co-op games like Lethal Company and Peak that are mostly fun because your friends are playing. Nobody calls those foidslop, but they get the same eye roll from people who think games should be hard.
